Project Manager

Position Title: Project Manager

Anticipated Start: May 2009

Duty Statement:
1. Candidate is responsible for project management responsibilities in the planning, design, and construction of one or multiple projects.
2. Responsible for the proper public works packaging, bidding, award and administration of relevant design/construction activities including design development, document control, cost control, change order management, payment application processing, closeout, DSA coordination and governance requirements.
3. Responsible for proper oral and written reporting/documentation of project progress, as it relates to budget,schedule, change management, cost control and overall status to designated district authorities.
4. Responsible for the coordination of moves, swing space, user occupancy, receiving of delivered materials, and overall project coordination.
5. Support field project management or Program Management as necessary.
Minimum Requirements:
Possession of a Master’s Degree.
Experience in preparing and verifying detailed CPM schedules and related schedule fragnets for contract and subcontract work
Project Manager - Minimum of 10 years experience in construction management, either general contractor or owners representative.
Experience in Design Management from Programming through Construction Administration, inclusive of User Group interaction.
Experience in managing troubled projects and contractual enforcement including takeover of work, termination andrebid, and other contractual remedies.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in Public Works Contract Work
Experience in renovation/modernization existing project management
Possession of a Master’s Degree in Engineering, Architecture or Construction Management
Experience in preparing detailed cost estimates for contractor and subcontractor bid packages.
 Experience in ‘open book’ subcontractor analysis, verification and procurement.
Experience in analysis/negotiation/processing of contractor and subcontractor change orders.
Experience in analysis/negotiation/processing of design related add services.
Familiarity with contractual delivery models such as design build, design bid build, g-max cost plus, etc.
Proficient in P3 Primavera schedule software.
Proficient in Proliance, or equal, construction management software.
Proficient in management of full construction life-cycle from programming to design to bidding to construction to closeout.
Ability to exercise judgment and discretion and to set priorities and manage competing demands.
Ability to read, analyze and interpret plans and specifications, government regulations and building codes.
Demonstrate a reliable, responsive and positive work ethic with the highest degree of integrity.
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities are highly sought.
